Davanagere farmers planning to lay siege to CM’s residence stopped on Bengaluru outskirts

The farmers were topped on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

BENGALURU: Farmers from Davanagere, who had planned to lay siege to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s official residence, were stopped by the police near Dasarahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Monday morning.

The farmers were led by former Honnali MLA M P Renukacharya. They were taken into custody and later let off. The incident occurred in Bagalagunte police limits and Bengaluru North DCP Saidulu Adavath had deployed over 150 police personnel and all vehicles were checked to stop the farmers from entering the city.
