Darshan’s farm house manager commits suicide due to depression

BENGALURU: A manager at Darshan’s farm house at Bagganadoddi in Anekal taluk, who had reportedly been suffering from depression, committed suicide after leaving behind a suicide note on April 16. However, the issue has come to light only now.

Sridhar’s abandoned body was found on a rock at Bagganadoddi and later, his friends informed the police.

Sridhar worked as a manager for about one year in the 10-acre farm. Sridhar committed suicide by consuming poison on the premises of the farmhouse. An FIR was registered in this regard at Anekal police station.

In his death note, Sridhar wrote that he was ending his life due to depression. Also, in the self-recorded video, he said that he alone was responsible for his death.

Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjuna Baladandi said that Sridhar had written the death note before committing suicide. “He had mentioned that he was committing suicide because he felt lonely. He also mentioned that the police should not disturb others. Our officials are investigating the case and the video is also being verified. The postmortem report revealed that he died of poison”, the SP said.

Sridhar wrote in the suicide note, “Dear police, I am responsible for my death; no one else is responsible for my death.. I am responsible for my death. I was suffering from severe loneliness. I wasn’t able to overcome it, though I put in a lot of effort. I made the decision to die.Don’t listen, if my mom, dad, sisters, and friends if they raise suspicion or complain about my death”.

“My death is my decision. I am ending my life after much thinking. Please don’t think bad of me… I am responsible for my death. Please, sir, don’t disturb anyone. Please, sir, I am the only reason for ending my life. I had a wish to build a house, but it did not happen. Be happy by building a tomb on my grave”, he wrote.
