BENGALURU: Following the arrest of actor Darshan, some of his ardent fans and close associates had allegedly threatened the media for telecasting the news on television.

Chetan, an ardent fan of Darshan, who had threatened movie producer Umapati and Bigg Boss contestant and actor Pratham with derogatory remarks, has now been arrested by the police in Coimbatore. Besides him, the police are now looking for another fan, Nagesh.

A personal criminal complaint has been booked against the accused and an FIR has been registered at Basaveshwara Nagar police station on a city court’s direction.

Chetan apologised to Umapati Gowda and Pratam after he was arrested. He made a video saying, “I’m sorry, I will act lawfully”. The video is now going viral on social media.

Public TV had broadcast a report on how people who make obscene comments and pose threats with derogatory remarks, will henceforth have to pay a heavy cost for such actions.
