BENGALURU: Actor Darshan was allowed to watch the movie ‘Vamana’ at a local theatre after paying Rs 3 lakh to the police for security arrangements.

Actor Darshan and his friend Dhanveer had gone to the GT Mall theatre under the jurisdiction of KP Agrahara police station on Wednesday night to watch the movie ‘Vamana’. Police sources have informed Public TV that they have received Rs 3 lakh from the persons concerned for the security arrangements at the theatre.

Upon learning that actor Darshan is coming, his fans would have gathered near the theatre. A stampede had occurred at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad when Allu Arjun came down to watch the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’ in Telangana without police security.

Meanwhile, Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi visited the Annamma temple in Majestic and offered prayers and completed vow to the deity.

When Darshan was in jail, she had taken a vow that she would give an offering to deity if he was released. She today fulfilled her vow on Friday by presenting a saree and ‘madilakki’ to the goddess, which includes rice along with jaggery, a blouse piece, coconut, etc.

Vijayalakshmi was accompanied by their son, Vineesh, who was also part of the ‘Devil’ shoot in Rajasthan with Darshan. They returned to Bengaluru last week after completing the shoot.
