BENGALURU: Actor Darshan, who is in jail for the murder of Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, has been suffering from health issues. According to a report submitted by the jail authorities to the High Court, Darshan has been sick for 25 days of the 55 days he has spent in jail so far.
Darshan was given special food including eggs, milk, bread and vitamin tablets for 10 days in the first week of July. Again, for 15 days in the first week of August, he took milk and bread, citing health issues and weakness. The jail authorities have said that Darshan has been using his health issues to get special privileges.
Meanwhile, the High Court has adjourned the hearing on Darshan’s plea for home food to September 5. The plea was rejected by the Director General of Police (Prisons) Malini Krishnamurthy. Darshan’s advocate Prabhulinga Navadagi has approached the court which has agreed to hear the plea.
