CHIKKABALLAPUR: In a major operation, Customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) have seized narcotics worth crores and arrested three individuals involved in smuggling ganja from Hong Kong and Bangkok.
The seized items include 900 grams of hydroponic ganja worth Rs 31.5 lakh from a Hong Kong passenger, 1.8 kg of ganja worth Rs 63 lakh from a Bangkok passenger, and 9.8 kg of ganja valued at Rs 2.63 crore from another Bangkok passenger.
The Customs officials have taken the accused into custody and registered cases under the NDPS Act. Further investigations are under way.
