BENGALURU: The 24th ACMM Court has granted the police three days custody of Kannada actors Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan, who have been arrested by the city police under Sections of the Arms Act, 1959 (U/s-25(1B)(B)) of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita (BNS), for wielding a machete in a video for reels. The police had sought five days’ custody, but the court granted custody for three days until March 28.

Rajath was seen in the movie ‘Kariya’, while Vinay was seen in a ‘Pushparaj’ character, making reels together. Now, both are facing a legal battle due to this issue. Vinay Gowda made a reel with Rajath Kishan. In the reels, Gowda is allegedly holding a long machete, wearing sunglasses and walking in slow motion while copying the style of actor Darshan.

After the video went viral on social media, an FIR was registered against both individuals. As per the complaint, holding a machete for a reel in public created an atmosphere of fear. Also, these reels have been shared on an Instagram account called Bujji.
