BENGALURU: A Bengaluru court has remanded accused Abhinava Halasree to 10 days in CCB police custody, till September 29, after a hearing on Wednesday. During the hearing, the CCB police had sought 14 days custody of the accused for questioning.
The accused Halasree’s advocate Arun Shyam appeared before the court. The judge asked about Halasree’s background and some details about his arrest.
Halasree’s advocate requested the court to grant bail and said the accused will cooperate in the investigation. He also petitioned for interim bail, but businessman Govinda Babu Pujari’s lawyer objected to grant of interim bail. The public prosecutor also opposed bail while the case is under investigation and stated that there are chances of the accused destroying evidence.
