BENGALURU: A Bengaluru court on Tuesday dismissed a prosecution plea to shift Darshan from Parappana Agrahara Central jail to Ballari jail, stating that there was no valid reason for the transfer.
Darshan appeared before the court via video conference from Parappana Agrahara jail with the other accused on Tuesday. He pleaded with the judge to give him poison, citing unbearable living conditions. He made a special appearance at the hearing today by wearing a tilak on his forehead.
Darsha said he hasn’t seen enough sunlight, his clothes stink and that he is suffering from skin fungus. He said he is fed up and can’t live here anymore and asked to be given poison. The judge rejected Darshan’s plea stating that such orders were not possible.
The court dismissed the request from jail authorities to transfer Darshan to Ballari jail, citing no valid reason for the transfer. Darshan will remain in Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru. The judge warned that if Darshan misbehaves in the future, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) can make a call on the next course of action.
