BENGALURU: A young man was seen indulging vulgar and inappropriate public display of affection with his girlfriend on Platform 3 of the Majestic Metro station. A video of couple’s inappropriate behaviour has gone viral on social media and has drawn much outrage.
In the video, the couple can be seen standing on Platform 3 of the Majestic Metro station waiting for the arrival of a Metro train. The youth was seen engaging in intimate behaviour disregarding the presence of other passengers, including women and elderly individuals. The youth put his hand inside the girl’s clothes in an indecent manner while standing with her. The girlfriend was seen behaving normal as if nothing was inappropriate.

A fellow Metro passengers captured the video which has drawn huge outrage from from onlookers and netizens with some of them questionning the couple about their disrespectful behaviour, especially in a public place like a metro station, terming it completely unacceptable . Many are now calling for strict action to be taken against the couple.
The incident has sparked a heated debate about public decency and the need for individuals to be mindful of their surroundings. The Bengaluru police are under pressure to take action against the couple and ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
B L Yashavanth Chavan, chief public relations officer ofIBMRCL said, the couple’s behaviour was indeed indecent. “A person captured the video and posted it on social media. Before doing that, he could have warned them not to indulge in such acts in public place or he could have informed our security staff so that we could take action against them. We are not getting CCTV footage of April 9 and trying hard to find it. We will track down their travel history and punch time soon. Prima facie, it can be seen that the incident happened during non-peak hour. If we find them, suitable action will be taken”.
