BALLARI: A couple was crushed to death after their motorcycle was knocked down by a KKRTC bus near Kudadrahala village in Siruguppa taluk on Monday. The deceased were identified as Nagabhushan Reddy (36) and Sandhya (32) of Bombalapura.
The couple was on the way to Siruguppa when the KKRTC bus knocked down their motorcycle and ran over them. Police and KKRTC officials visited the spot. A case has been registered at the Hachcholli police station.
Meanwhile, the Ballari Rural police have arrested two men for attempting theft at an ATM on Talur road. The arrested are Avinash and Shivaraja.
Avinash is a civil engineer while Shivaraja is an egg trader. The former had broken the glass of the ATM kiosk while the latter had attempted to steal from the SBI ATM on July 31 when there was a power outage. After the failed attempt, they were hiding in Annapurna Layout.
