CHIKKABALLAPUR: In a hit-and-run case, a speeding car knocked down a couple riding on a two-wheeler on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad National Highway-44 near Avati village in Devanahalli taluk at 8.13 pm on Sunday. Luckily, the couple survived with injuries.
The couple were on their way to Yelahanka from Chikkaballapur when the car, coming from Hyderabad, grazed their two-wheeler while overtaking another car from the wrong side. The accident occurred in Vijayapura police limits in Devanahalli taluk.
The accident was caught on the dashcam of a car which was behind the couple. In the footage, the rear of the car can be seen hitting the front of scooter, causing the two-wheeler and the couple to fall on the road. Despite this, the car sped away.
The couple have lodged a complaint with the police who have launched a hunt for the car driver.
