BENGALURU: A couple on a two-wheeler were killed on the spot after a cement mixer truck collided with their vehicle in Kengeri. The deceased have been identified as Asif Ahmed and his wife, Shabana Begum.
The couple were riding their scooter from Tannery Road to a dargah in Uttarahalli when the truck collided with them. The impact of the collision was so severe that both riders died on the spot. The truck dragged the scooter for a short distance.
The accident was captured on a CCTV camera at a nearby shop. Kengeri police visited the spot and conducted an investigation. It was found that the couple were wearing helmets. Kengeri traffic police have taken the truck driver into custody.
