RAMANAGARA: A couple who were out grazing their cattle, died after they fell and drowned in the Kanva river near Kudlur village in Channapatna taluk on Thursday evening. The deceased have been identified as Venkatesh (55) and Kalamma (50) of Kudlur village.
When Kalamma, who was walking close to the river, accidentally fell into the water, her husband Venkatesh rushed to save her, but they both drowned and died.
A case has been registered at Channapatana Rural police station.
