Coracle capsize incident: Two more bodies pulled out from Krishna river

Rescuers fished out the bodies of the remaining two men who were missing.

VIJAYAPURA: The bodies of two more missing people, who drowned after a coracle capsized in the Krishna river in Kolhar taluk on June 2 were fished out on Thursday. On Wednesday three bodies were fished out while three had survived the mishap.

Two bodies of Rafiq Alamel (40) and Mehboob Walikar were fished out on Thursday.

The search and rescue team on Thursday pulled out the bodies of Rafiq Alamel (40) and Mehboob Walikar (35).  Earlier, the bodies of Pundalik Yankanchi (34), Tayyab Chowdary (40) of Kolhar and Dasharat Goudar (60) had been fished out from the water.

The bodies of three men had been fished out earler.

On Thursday, 30 rescuers launched the search for the third day with the help of five boats. All the bodies were sent to the district government hospital for post-mortem examination.
