CHIKKABALLAPUR: A container truck caught fire on the National Highway-44 near the Manchanabele bridge on the outskirts of the town close to midnight on Monday.
The driver cabin of the truck was completely burnt in the incident, but luckily there was no loss of life. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but it is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short-circuit.
