Congress workers engage in a heated argument over party candidate Shivananda Patil skipping the meeting venue.

VIJAYAPURA: Some Congress workers vented their ire by throwing bottles of water and removing chairs and tables after the party candidate and former minister Shivananda Patil skipped a stage and went ahead during his campaign.

Some of the angry party workers removed the chairs and tables.

Shivananda Patil was campaigning in Hallada Genuru in Kolhar town of Basavana Bagewadi taluk. A small stage had been set up for him to address a crowd, but he did not stop there and continued ahead. Angered by this, a section of party workers threw water bottles kept on a tables and removed the chairs and tables.

Shivananda Patil, who had gone ahead, returned and addressed the crowd.

Sensing trouble, Shivananda Patil returned to the stage and pacified the party workers. He also addressed a small gathering there.
