BELAGAVI: Congress ticket aspirant from Saundatti Assembly segment, Saurabh Chopra, along with some of his supporters, met election strategist Prashant Kishor in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on the upcoming Assembly election.
Saurabh’s father Anand Chopra had contested as a rebel candidate after he was denied a ticket in 2018. Two years ago, Anand died after a severe heart attack.
Saurabh now plans to encash on the sympathy wave and is hoping for a Congress ticket. He has also been campaigning in a vehicle designated as ‘Anand Rath’ and has been camping in all the villages in the constituency.
