BENGALURU: The Congress early on Thursday released its final list of five candidates for the May 10 Assembly polls. The last date for filing nominations is April 20.
The party has named Mohammed Shalam as its candidate for Raichur, B V Rajeev Gowda for Sidlaghatta, S Anand Kumar for C V Raman Nagar-SC, H P Sridhar Gowda for Arkalgud and Inayath Ali for Mangalore City North.
On Wednesday night, the party had released a fifth list of four candidates, replacing its candidate for Shiggaon where Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is contesting. The Congress has named Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan in place of Mohammed Yousuf Savanur.
