Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni’s aide files complaint against woman farmer’s leader for extortion

HUBBALLI: An aide of Congress MLA and former minister Vinay Kulkarni has accused a woman farmer activist and three others of trying to extort Rs 20 lakh from him on the basis of a ‘fake’ photograph.

Businessman Arjun Gadigyappa Guddad, in his complaint with the Gokul Road police, has alleged that Manjula Pujar herself as a brand ambassdor for cotton seeds of a particular company and also introduced Jagadish as her husband. Later, she started blackmailing him for Rs 20 lakh with a fake photo, he alleged in the complaint.

A case has been registered against Manjula Pujar, Jagadish Sannakki, Hanumanthappa Bandivaddar and Siddappa Hosmani under Sections 384 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
