BIDAR: Law Minister H K Patil criticised BJP leaders, saying they should apologise for the acquittal of cases against 23 officials alleged to have been involved in the Belekeri missing iron ore case.
Patil stated that BJP leaders, including Prahlad Joshi and R Ashoka, should take responsibility and apologise. When such a verdict comes, the BJP leaders should bow their heads down with shame, he said.
BJP left many, who were involved in the case, he said and questioned how they could issue statements without shame, as if they had no conscience. ” Aren’t they embarrassed to show their face to society? They should apologise for absolving the officials who cooperated with Satish Sail. The BJP leaders should think about what they can do for their repentance”, Patil said.
Regarding the case, Patil said that Satish Sail has been sentenced to jail and those who committed the crime must face consequences. He emphasized that the court’s verdict demonstrates that severe punishment can be given to those involved in looting.
