BENGALURU: The Karnataka Congress on Monday lodged a complaint with DG&IGP Praveen Sood over alleged threats to eliminate party national president Mallikarjun Kharge and his family members.
The Congress has alleged that the BJP’s Chittapur candidate Manikanth Rathod has issued threats to Kharge and family and had even played out an audio clip at a press conference a few days ago.
In the complaint, former MLC Ramesh Babu sought lodging of a criminal case against Rathod and to provide protection to Kharge and his family members. There are unseen hands at play and these issues should be investigated and those involved arrested, the Congress has sought.
