VIJAYAPURA: Former Deputy CM and BJP leader K S Eshwarappa stoked a fresh controversy when he said Congress ministers Priyank Kharge, Santosh Lad and Dinesh Gundu Rao and MLA Kothur Manjunath should be shot for their remarks over Operation Sindoor.

Venting his anger at Congress leaders Eshwarappa said, “They keep asking how many aircraft were downed and want more evidence. They are traitors and should be shot and only then things will be alright”, he remarked.

He said senior Congress leaders are with the government on Operation Sindoor while only the junior leaders were passing remarks. “The senior Kharge is making some favourable comments here and there because we are all united. But the junior Kharge is pro-Pakistan and people like B K Hariprasad, Santosh Lad, Dinesh Gundu Rao and quesioning Operation Sindoor. Who are Priyank Kharge or Lad to ask for proof? Let them ask Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge who attended the all-party meeting”, he said.

On the Congress Sadhana Samavesha, Eshwarappa said, “Not one pothole has been fixed on any road in the state and no development work has been taken up. The government should focus on the poor. They said they will conduct a caste census in the budget, but it is all just a ploy to hold on to the chief minister’s post. What else have they achieved?” he lashed out.
