Congress leaders’ breakfast, lunch meetings in spotlight amid power‑sharing issue

BENGALURU: Amid the power‑sharing tussle in the state Congress, breakfast and lunch meetings of the party leaders have also increased to take them into confidence. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that on Saturday, CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar will hold a breakfast meeting. The breakfast meeting is scheduled to take place at the CM’s residence, Cauvery, at 9.30 am.

It is said that the high command gave a strict directive to talk to each other and come to a clear decision. No one should come to Delhi with any confusion, and this decision was taken accordingly, sources said.

Minister K H Muniyappa and MLC Hariprasad held a breakfast meeting today. In this meeting former minister H Anjaneya and former MP Chandappa also participated.

On Thursday, November 27, Minister Satish Jarkiholi and Mahadevappa held a breakfast meeting with BK Hariprasad. In the same vein, they also discussed with Muniyappa today.

They said the high command should be called as soon as possible to talk and resolve the confusion. They expressed frustration that because of the confusion, the government’s programs are not visible to the people.

Hariprasad responded that they are old friends, which is why they met. Regarding the power‑sharing issue, they requested that the AICC president and the high command resolve the confusion at the earliest.
