Congress leader Siddaramaiah suffers bout of dizziness on campaign trail in Kudligi

BALLARI: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah collapsed after he felt dizzy during campaigning at Kudligi on Saturday.

Siddaramaiah arrived at Kudligi by helicopter, but collapsed while he was getting into the car. A doctor and security officer caught hold of Siddaramaiah from behind as he collapsed, put him inside the car and administered glucose. After some time, Siddaramaiah felt quite relaxed and waved to the people gathered there.

Siddaramaiah came to Kudligi to campaign in support of the party candidate, N T Srinivas, who is contesting from Kudligi Assembly Constituency.

N T Srinivas himself a doctor, took Siddaramaiah to his house to get him to rest.

Following the incident, Siddaramaiah wrote on his Twitter handle, saying  “No need to panic, I am strong. I just slipped and leaned backward in the car without having a supportive step in the side space, as the regular car has changed. I am alright now”.
