BENGALURU: The Congress in the state seems determined to ride back to power with a one-line agenda — by wooing women voters. For this, it is leaving no stone unturned.

With a view to win the 2023 Assembly election at any cost, the party seems to have decided that instead of coming out with a pro-women manifesto on its own, it will seeks suggestions from them and accordingly announce new schemes to win them over.

For the next fortnight, the party will seek suggestions by placing boxes in every booth, open a tollfree number and even receive them on email. They can also be sent on WhatsApp to the number 7996551999.

Apart from this, the party is also making preparations for going door to door to elicit opinion before announcing its manifesto. Party workers have been directed to hear out women at the booth level and bring any new suggestions to the notice of the leaders.

By undertaking such an exercise, the party leaders will come to know the pulse of the people and their expectations, it feels.
