BENGALURU: The state government seems to be creating confusions after another when it comes to conducting competitive exams. Earlier, there was confusion over the Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) exam date, now the date set for the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) exam has also created confusion. Candidates are frustrated due to this schedule.
The Karnataka government has scheduled the PSI exam on the same day various central government exams are to be held, including the UPSC exam and the SSC exam. This has caused stress among candidates who have to take multiple exams on the same day, as three exams are scheduled on the same day. Therefore, candidates are demanding postponement or rescheduling of the PSI exam date.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the PSI exam on September 22, but on the same day, several central government exams are scheduled. The UPSC main exam is on September 22, and additionally, the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) exam is also scheduled on the same day.
Even after submitting a petition to Home Minister G Parameshwara, it has not yielded result. Chief Minister iddaramaiah too did not responding positively. Students are frustrated over the exam dates and hope that the government will reschedule the exam considering the future of job aspirants.
