BENGALURU: The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday put off to November 15, further hearing on a plea by activist Snehamayi Krishna seeking to reject the B-report filed by the Lokayukta police in the MUDA site allotment case involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife BM Parvathi.
The court also told the investigating agency to file a final report within two months and said it cannot ask for any more extension. The petition was filed by Snehamayi Krishna, who alleged irregularities in the allotment of land by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) to Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi.
Meanwhile, the special court for elected representatives rejected a plea to change the investigating officer in the case, stating that there was no need to transfer the investigation. The Lokayukta police had filed a ‘B’ report in the MUDA case, stating that there was no evidence to support the allegations against Siddaramaiah and his wife.
Snehamayi Krishna, the petitioner, earlier expressed confidence that the court would pass a favorable order after the final report is submitted. The case involves allegations of corruption and irregularities in the allotment of land by MUDA to CM Siddaramaiah’s wife.
