KOPPAL: A case has been filed against the ‘Cult’ movie team for allegedly shooting in a forest area in Gangavathi in violation of rules and without permission.

The film’s crew, including actor Zaaid Khan, son of minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, and actress Rachita Ram, had been shooting near the Tungabhadra river bank in Sanapur and Rangapur villages of Gangavati taluk on January 31.

The complaint alleges that the film crew violated rules by filming in the Tungabhadra water conservation area without permission.

Forest officials have refused to provide information on the case, directing queries to the local court.

Now the question has arisen whether minister Zameer Ahmed put pressure on the officials.
