BENGALURU: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly married off at a mosque at Anepalya in the city on September 26. A complaint regarding this has been filed at the Ashok Nagar police station.
The complaint has named waqf board members Shujat Ali, Hassan Reza, Mir Kayyum and Azan Jafferey and other and also raised suspicion that the girl may be pregnant.
The complainant has sought medical examination of the girl and registration of the case under Prevention of Child Marriage Act and the POCSO Act and sought strict punishment for the accused.
