BENGALURU: A complaint has been lodged against a man who was posing as a special officer of an investigating agency and promised a job to a woman aspirant at the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), a central investigation agency.
The accused Venu Gopal has been accused of impersonating a Special Officer of the Investigation Agency and duping a woman, Chitra Priya, of Rs 8 lakh. The accused allegedly promised Chitra Priya a job at the RAW and took money from her. He conducted a fake interview, provided fake offer letters and even gave her fake mark sheets. She had met him through a friend.
Chitra Priya filed a complaint against Venu Gopal at the Yelahanka Police station. The police have registered an FIR.
