Complaint against Gundlupet Christian school for opening on Makara Sankranti

CHAMARAJANAGARA: Hindu and Dalit organisations have filed a complaint against the Christ CMI Public School at Gundlupet for opening the school on Sunday, a Hindu festival as well as a government holiday.

The Hindu and Dalit organisations claimed that the school conducted classes on Makara Sankaranti on Sunday purposely so that children do not to celebrate Hindu festivals. Activists of Hindu organisations barged into the school on Sunday and accused that principal and management that they had hurt Hindu sentiments and also claimed that school preached Christianity.

The Hindu and Dalit organisations barged in to a private school for conducting classes on Sunday.

Hindu and Dalit organisations were infuriated because the school was instilling Christianity in the children and outraged against installing only the photo of Jesus in the school instead of photos of national leaders.

A case has been filed against the school at Gundlupet police station

A case has been filed against the school at Gundlupet police station and further investigation is under way.
