College student among two arrested for peddling drugs in Kolar

Drugs were seized from the arrested accused.

KOLAR: Two people, including a college student hailing from Kerala and another man from Odisha, were arrested in separate case for peddling drugs. The arrested were identified as Shiva and Narahari and drugs worth lakhs were seized from them.

Acting on specific information, the Gulpet police arrested Shiva, the student hailing from Kerala, near Bethamangala road on the outskirts of Kolar when he was transporting drugs. The police seized Rs 3 lakh worth of MDMA pills and ganja from him.

In another incident, the Malur police arrested Narahari, a native of Odisha, when he was trying to sell ganja near the White Garden township. The police seized 2.6 kg of ganja worth about Rs 80,000 from him. Separate cases have been registered in this connection.
