CM Siddaramaiah’s friend and businessman Ashraf Peeran dies in hospital

BENGALURU: Chief minister Siddaramaiah’s friend and businessman, Syed Ashraf Peeran, passed away on Friday. The CM had visited the private hospital to inquire about Peeran’s health earlier in the day.

Peeran was a 75-year-old businessman. According to Siddaramaiah, Peeran played a significant role in his joining the Congress party. Peeran had close ties with senior Congress leader, the late Ahmed Patel.
