BENGALURU: With five new city corporations coming into existence under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had directed all the city Congress MLAs and in-charge ministers to prepare for the civic body election.
At a meeting with lawmakers on Wednesday, the CM directed the in-charge ministers to take necessary steps to ensure that the Congress wins all the five city corporations. He also assured them of adequate funds for development works like road and drainage repairs.
The CM had earlier assured Rs 50 crore funds each to Congress MLAs. When the legislators sought Rs 50 crore more at the meeting, the CM directed them to start work with the funds already announced. He also directed them to come up with action plans and said he will take a call on releasing more funds.
