CM Siddaramaiah takes part in Yoga Day event in Ballari, clicks selfie with actress Sreeleela

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Labour minister Santosh Lad, Vachananda Swami and actor Sreeleela performing yoga on Friday.

BALLARI, BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday took part in the International Day of Yoga at the Jindal Vidyanagar at Toranagallu in Ballari district.

Minister Santosh Lad, parliament member E Tukaram, district MLAs, actress Sreeleela, spiritual leader Vinay Guruji and others took part in the programme which was led by Vachananda Swami.

The CM declined to speak on the occasion when called by Vachananda Swami. He later felicitated actress Sreeleela by presenting her a shawl. He also unveiled a painting of Akka Mahadevi performing yoga.

 

The actress later clicked a selfie with the chief minister. She said she was very happy to be part of the event. “I got an opportunity to meet people. I was busy with my movies over the last one year. People should practice yoga and maintain their health”, she said.

Meanwhile, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, actors Anu Prabhakar and Sharan, along with sports personalities Ashwini Nachappa and Manish Pandey, took part in the Yoga Day celebrations in the forecourt of the Vidhana Soudha.
