CM Siddaramaiah felicitates K’taka players of World Cup-winning kho kho squads, announces Rs 5 lakh reward

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday felicitated two players of the men’s and women’s kho kho squads from Karnataka, which won the inaugural World Cup held in Delhi recently. The CM also announced Rs 5 lakh cash prizes to both the players.

While M K Gautham of D Malligere village in Mandya district was part of the men’s kho kho squad, Chaitra B hails from Kurubur in T Narsipura taluk of Mysuru district and was part of the women’s squad.

Both players were felicitated by the CM on behalf of the Karnataka government at his Vidhana Soudha office. Agriculture Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy and Karnataka Olympic Association president and the CM’s political secretary Dr K Govindaraj were also present on the occasion.
