CM holding pre-budget meetings from today

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has begun preparations for the upcoming state budget, which is expected to be presented in March. Over the next three days, Siddaramaiah will be holding meetings with various departments to review their progress and discuss allocations for the new financial year.

Siddaramaiah will review last year’s budget along with this year’s budget.

The meetings will cover key schemes such as Gruha Lakshmi, Anna Bhagya and other guarantee programmes. The CM will also review the status of ongoing projects and programs implemented last year. He will also allocate funds to legislators who were unhappy with the previous budget allocations.

CM Siddaramaiah held a progress review meeting with the social welfare and health departments on Tuesday. The meeting with Food and Civil Supplies and Higher Education Departments will be held on January 8, and Medical Education and Skill Development, Women and Child Development Departments meeting will be held on January 9.
