BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday night, held a closed-door dinner meeting with trusted ministers to discuss three key agendas: cabinet reshuffle, change of KPCC president and power sharing.

The meeting reportedly discussed potential candidates for the KPCC president’s post and power-sharing strategies. The outcome of this meeting is not yet clear, but it’s likely that these changes will happen in the next 7-8 months.

The meeting also reportedly discussed about a verbal exchange between BJP MLC CT Ravi and minister Laxmi Hebbalkar during the Belagavi session. How the incident was handled by Deputy CM Shivakumar.

Home Minister Parameshwara and Minister Satish Jarkiholi expressed dissatisfaction with how the incident was handled. The meeting also discussed how the high command intervened and gave the incident a different twist.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader R Ashok took a dig at the ministers’ dinner meeting at Satish Jarkiholi’s residence. “The CM, Siddaramaiah, was waiting for the Deputy CM to go on a foreign trip. The dinner meeting of 35 MLAs at the residence of Minister Satish Jarkiholi was a show of strength”, he posted on X.

“DK Shivakumar, it is right time to implement what you bragged about in the House, saying that you will kick out power. A cabinet meeting is held in the absence of D K Shivakumar. An important decision like increasing bus ticket prices by 15 per cent is taken. What does it mean, and what is the party’s state president? Is it that he is not a player in the Congress party, or is his show-off only in front of the media? If he continues like this, it is guaranteed that his dream of becoming CM will remain a dream”, Ashoka posted.
