Chief Minister  Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the 112-foot-tall ‘Adiyogi’ statue on Sunday

The Adiyogi statue was inaugurated in the presence of the founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev, Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar, and thousands of devotees. The statue of Adiyogi was raised within five months and the special light and sound exhibits were unveiled.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai addressing to the people after the inauguration of ‘Adi Yogi’ statue.

“Sadguru introduced us to Adiyogi. Shiva is a mystic. People who understand Shiva will understand creation; they will understand that birth and death are moments. I asked Saduguru what kind of Shiva Adiyogi was, and he said He was endurance, intoxicaton and silence. He has extacity, and it comes with deep meditation and knowledge. Through yoga and achievement, we can see Adiyogi. Everything should have extensive knowledge”, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

Dr K Sudhakar, Minister of Medical Education and Health and Family Welfare Department, speaking on the occasion.

“This is the second Adiyogi statue, and the first one was unveiled by PM Modi. For the second one, Sadhguru chose Karnataka and we are honoured. For the inauguration, Sadgurr has chosen the best day, as today is Makara Sankranti. It’s been 15 years since Chikkaballapur became a district. The Isha foundation has planned for many development activities and we support them. Crossing all obstacles, the statue has been inaugurated”, said Dr K Sudhakar, Medical Education and Health and Family Welfare Department Minister.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudeva, founder of the Isha Foundation, at the event.

“I am very happy to have you here. The spiritual process is essential even before you start life. You are a product of ‘evolution,’ a research project by nature. Adiyogi is about knowing how to live your life. This is all internal and powerful. Forty years ago, I burst into ecstasy and I did not know how to come out of it, but later, I stabilised myself. I devised a strategy and was determined to keep physiological and psychological distances apart. You are in a make-believe world, and you think everything is real. Some people are terrified of their dreams, while others enjoy them. Heaven is the most criminal idea on the planet. This is heaven, but you are not in heaven, and this is what Adiyogi represents”, said Jaggi Vasudeva, founder of the Isha Foundation.
