KOLAR: A structure resembling the clock tower in Kolar, was installed overnight near the New Town masjid in Bangarpet. However, it was removed before it could snowball into a controversy.
Muslim community members had put up a tall structure resembling a clock tower and wrapped in green cloth, with a dome and a flag flying atop it in the middle of a road near the New Town masjid.
However, the police and the municipal corporation officials intervened and held discussions with the community members and got the installation removed before the issue could blow up into another major controversy.
