Class 6 student of Morarji Desai school thrashed by hostel warden for ‘scaring’ other students

KOLAR: A Class 6 student of the Morarji Desai Residential School at Balasandra in Mulbagal taluk was thrashed by the hostel warden with a stick and belt for allegedly scaring other students about a ghost in the hostel.

The boy had sustained blood clot wounds on his body and the issue came to light during the parents’ meeting on Monday. The injured student Anjan Kumar hails from Anantapur village in Mulbagal taluk and had recently lost his father.

He was badly thrashed by the hostel warden Mahesh for allegedly scaring other students. The warden, however, defended himself saying that he took action after complaints from other students.

The boy’s parents came to know about the thrashing only during the parents’ meeting and have demanded that the authorities take strict action against the hostel warden.
