HASSAN: A 21-year-old college student impregnated a Class 10 student on the pretext of love and the minor girl is now five months pregnant.
Jeevan (21) is pursuing an ITI course at a private college, had sexually assaulted the minor girl on the pretext of loving her. He has since been arrested and charged under the POCSO Act and remanded to judicial custody.
Out of fear, the victim had not revealed about the sexual assault to her parents. But after she realised that the was five months pregnant, she informed her parents. Following this, the parents lodged a complaint at the Hassan Rural police station.
