HASSAN: An altercation broke out between two children which escalated and ended up in the murder of the father of one of the two children in Mujavar Mohalla of Arasikere taluk. The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Taufiq.
Taufiq and Farhan’s sons were studying in a private school in Arasikere city, and had a fight at school on August 25 over a trivial reason. The confrontation reignited four days later on BH Road, and a clash broke out between them again on the same issue, resulting in Farhan pushing Taufiq down the stairs, leading to him suffering severe injuries.
espite hospitalisation, Taufiq succumbed to his serious injuries on Saturday night. Enraged by Taufiq’s death, his family members stormed Farhan’s residence, vandalised property, and set his car ablaze, creating a tense atmosphere. To maintain law and order, a heavy police presence has been deployed in the area.
MLA K M Shivalingegowda paid his last respects to the deceased and expressed discontent over alleged police negligence, demanding strict action against those responsible.
