CHITRADURGA: Villagers of Bidara Bommanahalli in the taluk staged a protest on Wednesday against the movement of trucks carrying iron ore on village roads. They also blocked the trucks and did not allow them to leave the village.
The protest led to a verbal duel between the villagers and truck drivers. The villagers alleged that the ore was being transported illegally and that the dust was affecting their crop. They also said the roads were getting damaged due to the movement of trucks.
