CHITRADURGA: Police Superintendent Ranjith Kumar Bandaru on Wednesday went around on a two-wheeler along the route on which the Shobha Yatra and Ganesha idol immersion procession will pass through on September 28, and conducted an inspection.
The SP went on a two-wheeler from Madakari Nayaka Circle up to Chandravalli. He was accompanied by Additional SP Kumaraswamy and Deputy SP Dinakar.
Lakhs of people are expected to participate in the Mahaganapati celebration and Shobha Yatra being organised by the Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and the police are on high alert to prevent any untoward incident. In view of this, the SP and other senior officers conducted an inspection of the Yatra route.
