BENGALURU: The city is experiencing severe cold conditions over the last few days but, despite the foggy weather and cold wind, people are still coming out for walking and jogging to stay healthy.
Bengaluru is experiencing a biting chill, affecting daily life. The minimum temperature has dropped to 14–16 degrees Celsius. Due to the cold and chilly winds, people are hesitant to go out for morning walks. However, at Sankey Lake, people have been enthusiastic amid the cold and are still going for walks.
Bengaluru is experiencing foggy conditions with cold winds. The wind speed averages 16 kmph and people have dug out their woollies, wearing sweaters and caps to keep warm while walking. An elderly person was even spotted at Sankey Lake in a wheelchair.
Experts from the Indian Meteorological Department say temperatures could drop to 12 degrees Celsius in December. The lowest temperature was recorded in 2016. There is a possibility that this record could be broken again in December. Regardless, even though the Sun is shining in Bengaluru during the day, the chill is not letting up. So, it’s better to take extra care of health during this time, they advised.
