Child slips from mother’s grip and falls in well in Udupi, dies

UDUPI: A one-and-half-year-old child died after drowning in a well in Kinnimulky near Udupi city after accidentally slipping from her mother’s hand while she was drawing water.

The mother, Nayana Karkada, got into the well with the help of a rope to rescue the child, but unfortunately, the child, Keerthana, had succumbed to death. The Udupi police visited the scene and investigated the incident.
