BENGALURU: The chargesheet filed in the Renukaswamy murder case has revealed interesting information about the relationship between accused Darshan and Pavithra Gowda. The voluntary statement recorded by the accused is mentioned in the chargesheet, and the copies are now exclusively available to Public TV.
In the chargesheet, A1 accused Pavithra Gowda given information about her relationship with Darshan in a voluntary statement.
She said, “I and Darshan loved each other. Initially, I did not know that Darshan was married to Vijayalakshmi and had a son. Later, I came to know about it. Darshan used to come to our house in JP Nagar. We would often go on long drives together. My daughter, Darshan, and I had bought a house in RR Nagar in my name for the three of us to live together. Producer Soundarya Jagadish had transferred Rs 1.75 crore to my HDFC bank account on Kanakapura Road to buy the house. We had a housewarming ceremony in February 2018 and have been living there since then.
“I had known Pavan, who worked at Darshan’s house, for about 7-8 years. Later, Pavan started working at our house. Pavan knew me very well and was aware of all my dealings. Darshan’s house and our house were about 1.5 km apart. Pavan had a lot of affection and love for us. He used to call me ‘akka'”.
How did Pavitra’s relationship with Darshan develop?
As mentioned in the chargesheet in Pavithra Gowda’s voluntary statement, “In 2014, I had gone for the audition of the film ‘Bulbul’ and shared my modeling profile with Darshan and got his mobile number from a known manager to talk to him. When I contacted Darshan over the phone regarding this, he said that the audition for ‘Bulbul’ had already ended, but if there was a need for another film, he would let me know. Then, using this as an excuse, I started talking to Darshan every day over the phone, WhatsApp, and chatting. Later, I used to meet him often”.
How did she know Renukaswamy?
In 2013, she created her own Instagram account to share personal and modeling-related updates. She managed this account from her iPhone Max-14 mobile, which was given to her by Darshan. Many people were following her Instagram account. Since the account was public, people were directly texting her. When she opened the inbox, she saw that some people had sent obscene messages. She used to block such people’s profiles. Sometimes, when she received such disturbing messages, she would take a screenshot and show it to Darshan. “Darshan had gone to Dubai with Vijayalakshmi on May 19, 2024, without telling me, and grandly celebrated their wedding anniversary. From then onward, I stopped talking to Darshan”, she said.
Meanwhile, since February 2024, a person from the Instagram account ‘KS Gautam 1990’ had been continuously sending her many obscene messages, photos and videos. She didn’t file any complaint about this. Later, she discussed the harassment with Pavan. Pavan had asked Darshan’s fans to find the person in Chitradurga.
Later, it is mentioned in the chargesheet that Pavithra Gowda has stated that Renuka Swamy was found and assaulted.
