BENGALURU: The Magadi police have submitted a voluminous chargesheet in the case related to the suicide of Kanchugal Bande Mutt seer, accusing Neelambike, the woman involved in the case of blackmailing the seer to exact revenge for humiliating her.

Bande Mutt seer Basavalinga Swami and Neelambike.

Neelambike had earlier abused Basavalinga Swami in foul language that he was lustful for women. The seer, who had recorded this, had humiliated her in front of the senior seer of the mutt. Unable to take the humiliation, Neelambike was plotting to take revenge, the chargesheet says.

When the Kannur mutt seer Mrutyunjaya came to know about this, he goaded her to make a video call to Basavalinga Swami. The Kannur mutt seer was also eyeing the Bande Mutt and the two had plotted to humiliate Basavalinga Swami, the chargesheet says.
